Incoming International Students Spring 2019 Orientation It’s that time of year again! With January right around the corner, this means that Spring Orientation will be here in no time. Do not fret!We arehere to help.To be better prepared forarrival on campusin January, here are a couple ofgood things to know: WHO:all new international students are required to check-in with the Office ofInternational Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) WHEN:International Student Orientation and check-in will take place onFriday, January 11, 2019. WHERE:international students shouldfirst check-in at the office ofInternational Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) before attending the orientation. ISSS’ office is located in the Turner Student Services Building, 4thfloor (610 E. John Street). HOW: you can get to Champaign-Urbana by several transportation options. WHAT: make sure to bring your passport and your I-20 or DS-2019 and some warm clothes too! Always make sure to check the weather. ?? If you haven’t familiarized yourself with it already, please take some time to look at the Spring 2019 Orientation Schedule. Late arrivals: as mentioned earlier, we are here to help! If you have any issues regarding coming to campus by the “arrival date” listed on your I-20 or DS-2019, then make sure to contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. On this note, make sure to check the Late Arrival section of the International Student Checklist. Also remember that the Holiday Season is in full swing now, which means that the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will be closed from Monday, December 24, 2018 until Tuesday, January 1st, 2019.
